Craftique Hub's collectives, their categorization and Collaboration opportunities.

Craftique Hub endeavors to establish a collaborative platform uniting contemporary and traditional artists, art and travel enthusiasts, and art collectors.

TABLE OF CONTENTS:

Philosophy behind the Product Categorization

Our product categorization is rooted in the core values of Exploration, Collaboration, Innovation and Promotion. The three categories of collectives exemplifies the hierarchy addition as we add more value to the traditional heritage crafts. The "Excursion Mementos" are the testimony of our exploration journey to heritage destinations and represent crafts acquired directly from artists at their source, in their purest form. Meanwhile, "Innovated for Contemporary Charm" items are value-added goods resulting from current collaborations and indicative of potential future collaborations. "Our Brands" are a product of the process of exploration, collaboration and innovation and these brands are available for sale with B2B and B2C options.

Lets go ahead and understand the curation process of our collectives:

Excursion Mementos

Our foundational inspiration lies in our commitment to exploring heritage crafts worldwide at source. Through immersive craft exploration journeys, we witness crafts taking shape from inception, delve into the micro-communities where craftsmen thrive, and gather memories and memoirs along the way. These journeys furnish us not only with the library of "Excursion Mementos" but also help us foster "Our community". Our community is a network of "The Artisans" and "The Collaborators" who are ready to collaborate, co create and customize the heritage craft.

The excursion mementos we meticulously handpick during these solo and collective journeys enrich us with a diverse library of materials and merchandise, showcasing the potential for value addition. Empowered by a database of artisans and societies open to collaboration, as well as insights into potential challenges, we evaluate customization opportunities based on factors such as materials, scalability, technology, manpower, and cultural context.

For details on customization and scalability options, please refer to the product descriptions, or reach out to us directly for further information.

Innovated for Contemporary Charm

Preserving heritage crafts necessitates enhancing their market appeal and desirability. Achieving this goal involves fostering collaborative partnerships between artisans, art enthusiasts, and designers. Craftique Hub serves as a distinctive platform for facilitating such collaborations and driving product innovation. This initiative is bolstered by our expanding community of artisans and designers, united in their willingness to collaborate across traditional boundaries of region, material, craft, and culture. Some of the articles listed in this category are in the matured stages of co-creation with existing infrastructure while others represent the range of customization and co-creation opportunities available. Some existing co-creations like contemporary fashion and home accessories made from the old age tradition of rug making are done by an experienced rug making enterprise based in Banskoh Village in Rajasthan with an experience of over 35 years. Similarly, adoption of Pattachitra motifs to create contemporary home decor articles and furniture are a collective effort of Pattachitra artists under guidance of a new age entrepreneur. Ujjain Batik artists who are generational artists are open to adopt any designs from traditional folk paintings to abstract paintings on materials ranging from sarees to wall decors. These creations are a testimony of the immense possibility of co-creation across craft style, region and categories.

  • 'Samanvya' Cross-Craft Collaborations

Collaborations between traditional craftsmanship practices can yield innovative and unique products. Some creative fusion ideas include combining Traditional Folk Paintings with Hand Embroidery, Pottery with Weaving, Folk Painting with Block Printing, and Batik with Folk Painting. These cross-craft fusions will appeal to a wider audience and breathe new life into forgotten skills.

  • Cultural Enrichment Program (For Art & Photography Students)

These courses will enable students to gain firsthand exposure to the artisans' environment and observe the production process influenced by place-based considerations such as regional climate, culture, and infrastructure. Not only will these courses evoke interest in age-old craftsmanship, but they will also inspire new ideas and explore the potential of integrating technology with tradition.

  • Craft Connect Digital Platform

Creating a digital model to enhance collaboration between contemporary designers and heritage craftsmen involves integrating multiple elements that facilitate communication, collaboration, and innovation. This model will include User Profiles and Portfolios, Virtual Studio, Messaging and Video conferencing tools and Task Management.
